Gone are the days when we used to wait for the traditional wedding (introduction ceremony/kwanjula) to experience a couple’s love. These days, kukyala (the first visit) does it for us. From time to time, this close-family-members and tight-friends invite-only event continues to evolve. It has become more involving and glamorous.
So today we take you to Kazo in Kawempe division, one of the Kampala suburbs where the ravishing bride Nuru hosted her handsome fiancé Godfrey at her parent’s home for their kukyala.
On the day, Friday, June 21st 2019, Nuru’s makeup was a touch of simplicity, her jewelry quite chic, her natural hair elegantly styled up while her henna was nothing but artistic. Her choice of bridal wear as far as gomesis and sashes were concerned said a lot about her wonderful and unique taste of fashion. Godfrey on the other hand, was smartly dressed in the traditional grooms wear (the kanzu) with a black coat.
Haruna Mubiru, commonly referred to many as “Kiffa nsalila” graced the event and entertained the couple as well as their invited guests.
As all these beautiful moments unfolded, Ken’s shot photography were available to capture some of them;
