Step By Step Guide To Rocking Fake Lashes!

By Joylydia Mercedes.

As ladies, we all grow up envisioning fairy tale characters (I wanted to be snow white lol). And we want to be them when we grow up. We wish. But what if we can’t be them; does that even stop us from looking like them? Hell no! This is the 21 century, the century mired by ‘queens and dolls.’ And to hell with the stereotypes. I personally do not want to wait till my wedding to slay duh. So today, we are running an online tutorial of how you can achieve that Kim K lash without breaking a bone or bank!

First off buy the falsies. They can be gotten from any Cosmetic shop at about 5-10k. Depending on which type. The options of course get better with the depth of your pockets. Before leaving the shop grab a pair of adhesive/lash glue. (The lashes do not come with their own.) This cost about 10-20k, but of course our pockets ehh still dictate.

This glue is specially meant for the eyes. Please do not I repeat ‘DO NOT’ use ordinary glue. Or else you risk an oculist appointment after. Then throw in some mascara too. With this, your eye kit is now ready. Let’s now doll up!

 Step 1: Apply mascara

“Curl natural lashes and comb on a coat of mascara, creating a shelf to support the weight of your falsies.”

Step 2: Cut to fit

“Cut the lash band right down the center to create a large individual lash. It’s easier to place than a full lash strip, which can become wonky and weird and asymmetrical.”

Step 3: Add adhesive

Trace each lash band, one by one, with a laser-thin line of adhesive and wait a few moments for the adhesive to dry a bit.

Step 4: Put ’em on

Using your fingers, not tweezers, “place your extension on the outer corner first, hugging that lash line tight.” For an eye-lifting effect, place the outer extension slightly above the natural lashline.

And voila you are ready to go!
