NBS TV?s Mildred Tuhaise off the shelf

Like a shooting star, no one in the public domain saw it coming just when it did. But, Mildred Tuhaise Amooti, the Masindi-born goddess is taken. She is off the shelf.

On Saturday 27th January, it wasn?t business as usual in Masindi District where the NBS TV morning breeze presenter cum news anchor and celebrated journalist introduced her swain Ssesanga to her parents, relatives and friends at glamorous traditional wedding.

For love is what makes us walk miles without noticing the distance or even feeling the pain in the ankles, it was indeed worthwhile for Ssesanga and friends who trekked the distance to Masindi.

Mildred, the former WBS TV (now defunct) news anchor embraced the gomesi outfit but also paid homage to her Banyoro culture as she donned the mushana during the colourful event that was attended by many of her co-workers from the Kamwocha-based TV station. Among these was sports journalist Aisha Nasanga, English new reader Shawn Kimuli, Joyce Bagala among many others.
