LETS LEARN WEDDING DRESSES LEERO

Finding the perfect wedding dress is not the easiest of tasks when you don’t know where to start! We suggest you begin by looking at what dress silhouette you like best and one that will suit your body shape. From there you can look into sleeves, strapless, simple or dramatic and eventually find your perfect wedding dress! We’ve created an easy diagram for you to establish what the difference is between a trumpet and a mermaid gown and whether a ballgown or sheath silhouette is right for you!

A typical confusion for brides comes from the mermaid and trumpet dress silhouettes, very similar but still have distinguishable features. The mermaid skirt hugs your torso tightly showing off the curves in all the right places and then flares at the knee whereas a trumpet skirt features the same tight bodice but flares more gradually creating a looser cascade to the floor from the hips.

An A-line and modified A-line are again a very similar shape but will fit the bride slightly differently – The A-Line will create a clean line flowing from the natural waist creating an ‘A’ shape. The modified version of this style fits closer to the body until just below the hip where it then will start it’s clean A shape.

Another thing to consider for your wedding dress is whether you will be comfortable in a long dress or a short dress and which would be more suitable for your wedding theme! For a bride that loves to show off a quirky, vintage style day and would prefer something a little more alternative a cheeky shorter length dress could be the ideal option. The key is to go with an idea in mind of what you like and what will suit you along with a little knowledge of the styles on offer!
